Ring of Kerry

July 17, 2019

Today we took a drive clockwise from Kenmare on the Ring of Kerry. The Parr’s bus went counterclockwise. We stopped at the Fort Straigue and then moved on to O’Connells Beach Bar so that I could put my feet in the Atlantic! Always have to put my feet in the water. We went through Waterville and on to Portmagee, where the Parr clan came for lunch. We visited the Valencia island and the Skellig Islands experience. We hiked for a while and then turned back. Instead of finishing the Ring of Kerry, we went back the way we came so that we could be back in Kenmare for the pub crawl. So fun!!

Unbelievable hydrangeas were everywhere in every color!

Fort Straigue on the Ring of Kerry - probably built in the 3rd or 4th century before Christianity came to Ireland.
