Viking at-sea day

Today (oct 5) we sailed all day. Last night we shoved off the dock at 9:30 and we watched the pilot boat and tug boat follow us out of the harbor. Eventually the pilot boat came alongside and picked up the young Greek pilot who had piloted our 700 ft boat jump onboard the pilot boat. We cheered and he and the others got a thrill. Haha

As we awoke this morning we were sailing up between two of the three fingered peninsula just to the west of Thessaloniki. We sailed along side the peninsula with Mount Athos, where there are 20 montesaries.

We then headed south toward Kusadasi, turkey. It would take us until tomorrow morning to get there.
